All About Secondary Packaging Machine
Packaging is the art, science as well as technology of protecting or enclosing products for storage, distribution, use and sale. It also refers to the design, production and evaluation of packages.
There are two types of packaging which are primary packaging which is the material which first contains the product, it is also the package that is in direct contact with the contents.
The secondary packaging is packaging that is outside the primary packaging and is usually used to group primary packages together. It is therefore used as a method of transporting the primary packs or the products from the producer to the retailer. This type of packaging is removed as well as recycled once the package reaches the destination. Secondary packaging is also retained so that the product can be purchased in bulk.

A package machine is the device used for primary or secondary packaging and it's use depends on factors like costs, the availability of floor space, the technology used by the machine, integration, payback period, associated running costs, machine technology and the integrating capability with other available machines.
The machine is usually the final step in the manufacturing process and is the first step in the transportation process.
The Packaging Machinery is developed based on the dimensions of unit loads, they can be set up in order to handle items that are within the same range of standard sizes or items that are of a given standard size with the necessary adjustments being made automatically or manually.
This machine is used to put the primary package into another package and is most commonly used by the manufacturers to carry the product to the retailers. At times this secondary package is kept at the retail level so that it can be purchased in bulk.

The Secondary Package Machinery Is Important because:

1.Packaging is an important process that is performed after manufacturing products in the industries.
2.It gives protection, during the packaging, to the materials and ensures the quality and quantity of product is sustained during delivery. The objects that are enclosed in the package always require protection from compression, shock, temperature and vibration.
3.The packaging is done so that it encloses the primary packaging and also for the protection of both the product and primary packaging as well as branding of the products.
4.The Secondary Packing Equipments helps to group products together for ease of transport, handling as well as storage.
5.The machines used for secondary packaging are important especially where the products are being manufactured for export.
6.Packaging provides a barrier protection from water vapor, oxygen and dust. Some of the packages contain oxygen absorbers or desiccants to help extend shelf life. Others have controlled atmospheres which keep the contents fresh, clean as well as safe.
7.The Secondary Packing Equipment also aids in information transmission because the packages and labels have communication on how to use and reuse or dispose of the packaging.
There are different types of Secondary Packing Machines that are available which include some kinds of carton machine
